Wiklund Bags Athlete Of The Week Honors

Eatonville Sports News would like to congratulate Eatonville Cruiser Andrew Wiklund on being named the Eatonville Sports News Spring Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of March 18th – March 24th.

Wiklund, a senior on the Eatonville HS baseball team, had a great couple of games for the Cruisers. Against River Ridge, he went 2-4 with a triple and drove in 2 runs. Against Hoquiam, he had a no hitter going against the Grizzlies through 5 innings before coming out of the game due to pitch count rules. He also was 3-3 at the plate with 2 doubles and an RBI.

Athlete of the Week winners receive their choice of a shake, cone, or smoothie courtesy of the Cruiser Café​ or $5 worth of frozen yogurt from Malibu Frozen Yogurt.

Weekly winners are also then eligible for the Athlete of the Month award which is a $25 Gift Certificate from either Cruiser Café or Malibu Frozen Yogurt, a hand-made Cruiser themed quilt courtesy of Alyssa Wood, and a Cruiser themed tumbler cup courtesy of Junk Drawer Crafts.
