Cruiser Swimmers Sink Their Opponents

The Eatonville Cruiser girls swim team started the season off in grand fashion with victories in their first 2 meets.
On Tuesday of last week. The Cruisers hosted Highline, Evergreen, and Tyee. Eatonville dominated the meet with the Cruisers taking first place in 9 of the 12 events.
Picking up wins for the Cruisers were:
200 Yard Medley Relay – J. Thirtyacre, A. Boyce, L. Bovey, S. Schier
200 Yard Freestyle - Aubrey Hildebrand
50 Yard Freestyle - Sadie Schier
100 Yard Butterfly - Leah Bovey
100 Yard Backstroke - Jolee Thirtyacre
100 Yard Breaststroke - Autumn Boyce
400 Yard Freestyle Relay - L. Bovey, R. Valentine, K. Trujillo, J. Thirtyacre
500 Yard Freestyle – Nina Hiatt
200 Yard Freestyle Relay – A. Boyce, S. Schier, C. Chua, K. Trujillo
When all the points were tallied, the Cruisers won in a landslide. The points were:
Eatonville 106
Highline 24
Evergreen 3
Tyee 1
On Thursday, the team traveled to Graham-Kapowsin HS to take on the Eagles. This meet would prove to be a real nail-biter, but the Cruisers would pull off the overall win in the last relay of the day.

“Today's meet 9/19 was a nail biter! We are well matched in both numbers and abilities with Graham-Kapowsin. The entire meet came down to the last relay, and the Cruisers pulled out a 3-point victory. We had a full crowd and it was LOUD and exciting!”, commented Head Coach Andrea Stammen.
Next up for the Cruiser swim team is a meet on 9/24 at home against Renton and then they will host Puyallup on 9/26.
