2022 Spring Sports All League Awards

Now that spring sports have come to an end with the culmination of the state championships for all the sports, it is now time to congratulate the Eatonville High School athletes that were voted to the All-League list by the coaches in the Evergreen 1A Conference for their outstanding performances this spring season.

We will start out with the most decorated team and that was the fastpitch team who placed 3rd in the State this season after winning the Evergreen Conference league title and the Southwestern Washington District IV title.

I am sure it is no surprise to anyone that senior Hailey Rath was named the league’s offensive MVP after leading not only the league but the entire state in home runs this season with 24.

Picking up first-team honors for the Cruisers were Brooke Blocker (C), Berkeley Porter (P/Utility), Dakota Smith (3B), Mary Chabot (SS), and Sara Smith (P/1B). The Eatonville coaching staff was named the Coaching Staff of the Year.

Moving on to baseball. Eatonville saw a total of five players selected to the list. Picking up first-team honors were Jakob Lucht (INF), Blain Hanly (INF), Payton Hanly (OF), and Ashton Meyer (P). Bringing home second-team honors was Brandon Storm (OF).

Boys soccer saw Sebastian Montes De Oca Molina and Kevin Tomyn selected to the second team while Riley Rockey was given honorable mention honors.

Girls tennis also had a few athletes make the all-league list. Both members of the doubles team that finished in the op eight at state, Erin Mitchell and Cassidy Foster, were given second-team honors.

The Evergreen Conference does not hand out all-league awards for track and field, but the Cruisers had quite a few that are deserving of the honor. I would bet all of the athletes that made it to State would be on that list. Those include Job Kralik, Austin Wicker, Kyle Cox, Tristan Lewis, Joseph Mueller, Ethan Carter, Jake Wood, and Alex Lambert.
