Cruiser Tennis Has Strong Showing At Districts

The Cruiser tennis team are the sole winners of the District 3 1A league (since they were the only team in District 3 1A).

Although they played 2A teams all season, these players entered the District 4 Tournament to qualify for 1A State Tournament.

This tournament is often been noted to be a higher level of play than the actual State Tournament.

The five Cruiser tennis players who qualified and played in the District 4 Tournament last week were:

Justin Hietpas - #1 singles

Brandon Baker/Brody Thirtyacre - #1 doubles

Ryan Root/Ethan Moore - #2 doubles

Honorable Mention: Evan Nation & Gaven Vander Hoek.

Despite not qualifying for State, the Cruisers demonstrated the same high skill level of playing.

#1 singles and #1 doubles each played 2-hour matches ending their final matches with 3rd set tiebreakers; losing by only 3 and 4 points respectively.
