Doubles team of Zumwalt and Volk finish 7th in 2A SPSL Tournament
Eight members of the Eatonville girls tennis team traveled to Clover Park High School last week to compete in the 2A South Puget Sound League tournament, and while the results were mixed across the lineup, the No. 1 doubles team of Jessie Zumwalt and Isabel Volk saved some of their best tennis of the season for the biggest stage of the year. Pound, Haas Lead Cruiser Boys to Overall Win at Franklin Pierce; Lightfoot Shines in Girls Competition
Rogue Pound did not need to choose between the track and the runway Thursday afternoon. He dominated both. The Eatonville junior captured first place in the 110-meter hurdles and the long jump at Franklin Pierce High School, anchoring a dominant team performance that propelled the Cruiser boys to a first-place finish with 77 points. Lilah Chapman had a great week for the Eatonville Lady Cruiser fastpitch team, going a perfect 3-for-3 with a double and two singles to help power the Lady Cruisers to a pair of wins and solidify their standing in second place in the league standings.
