Cruiser Equestrian Starts Season Off With Win
This past weekend, the Eatonville High School equestrian team dusted off their saddles, loaded up their horses and headed to the Grays Harbor Fairgrounds in Elma, WA for their first meet of the 2020 season.

They really didn’t have to dust the saddles off though. They have been practicing since October of last year for this first meet.
The team took first place overall out of the 6 other teams that participated.
The Cruisers were able to capture the top spot in 6 of the events.
When asked how her team did at their first meet, head coach Tira Hancock had this to say, “Overall, we did well for the first meet of the season. Very proud of these kids and their equine partners. We have been practicing every week since October and all their hard work was shown this weekend. We have dedicated coaches, parents, and volunteers who support these kids, and an amazing community who supports fundraisers to help the families provide this amazing opportunity for their children. Our team has incredible sportsmanship and operates like a family with everyone caring for and helping each other.”
Here is a breakdown of the top 3 finishers in the various events for the Cruisers.
