The Eatonville senior swept three ambulatory field event titles at the 2A District 3 Championships, held Wednesday and Friday at Bremerton High School, claiming district gold in the shot put, discus and javelin while also finishing second in the ambulatory 100 meters. All four performances qualified her for the 2026 2A State Track and Field Championships, set for May 28-30 at Mount Tahoma Stadium at Mount Tahoma HS in Tacoma.

Johnson, who won ambulatory district titles in the shot put and discus a year ago, was equally dominant this time around. She threw 16 feet, 7.75 inches to take the shot put title, heaved the discus 59 feet even for another gold and launched the javelin 31 feet, 11 inches to complete the sweep. In the 100 meters she posted a time of 25.69 seconds, crossing as the district runner-up to add a fourth state qualifier to her weekend.

On the boys side, sophomore Jarrin Ragazzo gave the Cruisers another champion, uncorking a winning throw of 156 feet, 4 inches to claim the javelin title and punch his own ticket to state.

The top five finishers in each event qualify for the state meet.

Eatonville collected multiple state qualifiers out of the boys field events. Sophomore Mason Kinley posted a third-place finish in both the shot put, at 45 feet, 11.75 inches, and the discus, at 131 feet even, earning a pair of trips to state. Junior Adam Ames placed fifth in the discus at 128 feet, 2 inches to also qualify.

Junior David McClain cleared 6 feet in the high jump for a fourth-place finish, while fellow junior Steven Haas vaulted 11 feet for fourth place in the pole vault. Both will compete at state.

On the boys track, sophomore Gabriel Kolsrud turned in a strong two-event performance. He ran a personal best 4:42.38 in the 1600 meters, finishing 11th, and returned to place fifth in the 3200 with a time of 10:15.94, securing a state berth in the process.

Senior Oscar Lopez-Diaz set a personal best in the 400 meters, clocking 53.38 for an 11th-place finish. He competed as part of both boys relay teams on the day. The 4x100 squad of Lopez-Diaz, junior Jacob Simons, Haas and sophomore Colton Sanders ran 47.42 for 12th. The 4x400 unit of senior Phillip Buchholz, Lopez-Diaz, Kolsrud and sophomore Teagan Croppi posted a 3:49.98 for 13th.

Junior Rogue Pound placed seventh in the 110-meter hurdles at 17.20 seconds and added a seventh-place long jump at 20 feet, 3 inches. Croppi finished eighth in the pole vault with a vault of 10 feet, and senior Connor Austin added an 11th-place finish in that event at 9 feet, 6 inches.

On the girls side, beyond Johnson's four-event performance, freshman Avery Crowder ran 1:10.57 in the 400 meters for 13th place. Senior Bridget Stumph finished 14th in the 3200 at 14:17.78, and senior Lily Lightfoot placed eighth in the 100-meter hurdles at 17.98.

Junior Madison McChesney placed 10th in both the discus at 80 feet, 8 inches and the javelin at 80 feet, 3 inches. Sophomore Ava Tatro vaulted 8 feet for a sixth-place finish in the pole vault.

The girls relay teams kept Eatonville busy on both days. The 4x100 squad of Crowder, freshman Andrea Hall, junior Ciana Hover and Tatro ran 53.63 for 12th place. Freshman Riley Bailey, Crowder, junior Kalli Olson and Hover posted a 1:58.21 in the 4x200 for 10th. The 4x400 group of junior Hannah Bieker, Stumph, sophomore Tymbre Green and freshman Jenny Lowe finished 10th at 4:55.27.
