A Look Ahead Into The District Playoffs
As the Cruiser boys and girls basketball teams wind down their regular-season schedules, let’s take a look ahead and lay out what will be next for the teams.
Following the regular season schedule of games, both teams will compete in the 2022 District IV Basketball Tournament to have a chance to make it to the state playoffs. The district tournament is a double-elimination tournament against teams out of the TriCo League with the top 3 finishing teams in this tournament advancing to the regional round of the 2022 WIAA Hardwood Classic State Tournament.
For the boys, it looks like they will take first place in the Evergreen 1A league and secure the #1 seed into the district tournament if they are able to win out. With that #1 seed in hand, the Cruisers will host both round 1 and round 2 games. In the round 1 game, they will host the #4 seeded team out of the TriCo 1A league. At this time that looks like it will be the Castle Rock Rockets. That game would be played at Eatonville on Feb. 10th.

For the girls, it is looking as though they will finish in third place in the Evergreen 1A league and secure the #3 seed into the district tournament. That would put them up against the Trico #2 seed, the King’s Way Christian Knights on Feb. 11th. That game would be played at King’s Way Christian HS in Vancouver, WA.
