Cross Country Wins League Title

After finishing the regular season undefeated, the Cruiser boys cross country team sprinted into the Evergreen 1A League championship race in Elma with one thing on their mind, win the league title. They did just that.


The team was led by Joey Mueller (3rd), Austin Frink (4th), Owen Van Eaton (5th), and Julian Cline (8th). The complete list of Cruisers and how they finished:

Cheyanne Price and Aubrey Meadows ran an awesome race, finishing 5th and 8th overall.

Head Coach Geoff Olson was very proud of his teams.


“Joey Mueller has been our number one runner all season and continues to push the rest of the team. Austin Frink has come on strong at the right time, and Owen Van Eaton and Cole Pedersen have been very consistent. On the girls’ side, freshmen Cheyanne Price and Aubrey Meadows have had an amazing breakout season.”


The boy’s team will compete next Thursday at Lewis River Golf Course in Woodland for districts while the girls’ team will compete next Saturday at South Whidbey High School for districts.
