Cruiser Swimmers Are Headed To State

This past weekend, several of the Eatonville High School swim team members competed in the West Central District 4 1A/2A Swimming championships at Shelton High School.


The Cruisers had 9 swimmers competing.


They were:

Anna Benato (JR) - 100 Fly, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay

Kaylee Bernt (FR) - 200 IM, 100 Breast, 200 Medley Relay

Grace Forsman (FR) - 100 Breast, 200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay

Alexis Powell (SR) - 200 Free, 500 Free

Melissa Rauhala (JR) - 100 Back

Charlee Smith (FR) - 200 Free

Rylee Valentine (SR) - 200 Free, 100 Back, 200 Medley Relay, 400 Free Relay

Olivia White (SR) - 200 IM, 100 Back, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay

Torrin White (SO) - 100 Free, 100 Back, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay


Swimmers placing in the finals on Saturday were:

Medley Relay 8th Place - Rylee, Kaylee, Anna, Grace

200 Free 14th place - Charlee Smith

200 IM 1st Place - Olivia White

100 Free 12th Place - Torrin White

100 Back 18th Place - Rylee Valentine

100 Back 11th Place - Torrin White

100 Back 1st Place - Olivia White

100 Breast 16th Place - Grace Forsman

100 Breast 11th Place - Kaylee Bernt

400 Free Relay 6th Place - Anna, Rylee, Torrin, Olivia



Senior Olivia White broke two of her own school records at the meet. She broke the 200 IM record and also the 100 Backstroke record. She placed first in both events and was named the district champion in each event.


White, along with the 400 Free Relay team of Anna Benato, Rylee Valentine, Torrin White, Olivia White & Alternates Grace Forsman, Kaylee Bernt have all qualified for the state meet that is held on Nov. 12 & 13 at the King County Aquatic Center in Federal Way.


Fans are allowed to attend the event or you can watch the live stream of the event on the NFHS Network for a fee.
