Cruiser Track Has Great Day In Kalama
On Thursday of last week, the Eatonville Cruiser boys and girls track teams had a great meet at the league meet at Kalama HS.
The girl's team would come away with the overall victory while the boy's team would fall 1 point short to the Mossyrock Vikings, 85-84.
Standing atop the podium with first-place finished for the Cruisers were:
J. Roulst, H. Hanson, N. King, E. Gendreau (4x200M Relay)
Job Kralik (100M)
Austin Wicker (200M)
J. Roulst, A. Accarino, A. Wicker, J. Kralik (4x100M Relay)
Kyle Cox (Shot Put & Discus)
On Saturday, a select number of athletes from the Cruiser boys team would load up and head to Shelton for the 62nd Annual Shelton Invitational.
The Cruisers would be outgunned in the meet and would place 19th out of 39 teams.
One bright spot for the Cruisers was Kyle Cox setting a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 48’4” passing Cruiser alumnus Chase DeMoor and Blake Sjoblom to move into 3rd place on the Eatonville HS school records list. Cox now sets his sights on Lucas Hatton (2nd place - 54’8.75”) and former state champ Justin Kaelin (1st place - 59’5.5”).
