Cruisers Down T-Birds, 12-2
After not playing a game since the previous Friday, the Cruisers knocked the rust off and snapped their 2-game losing streak by promptly putting up twelve runs on the visiting Thunderbirds from Mt. Tahoma and defeating them 12-2 in a mercy-rule shortened 5 inning game on Friday.
The Cruisers would score 2 runs in the first inning when Brandon Storm scored on a passed ball and Payton Hanly hit a sacrifice fly to score Dally Curtis to take a 2-0 lead.
Eatonville would push across 6 more runs in the second inning, 3 in the third inning, and one more in the fifth to secure the 12-2 victory.

The Cruisers now sit at 7-6 overall and 3-3 in league play. Their remaining 6 games are against Evergreen league opponents. With a tough 3 game series coming up next week against the Montesano Bulldogs, they look to finish out the season strong and stay in contention to advance to the district playoffs. Right now they sit in 3rd place in the league and the top 4 teams will advance. Following the Montesano series, the Cruisers will finish the season with a 3 game set against the cellar-dwelling Hoquiam Grizzlies.
Coming Up: On Tuesday, the Cruisers will travel to Montesano for a doubleheader at 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm and then finish off the week at home against the Bulldogs on Friday at 4:00 pm
