Cruisers Drop 2 of 3 To Beavers

After trailing 5-4 in the fifth, a late-inning barrage by the Cruisers lifted them past the Beavers 9-5 in the first game of their 3-game series this past Thursday.

In the sixth inning, Eatonville would plate 4 runs and then add another in the final inning.

Jakob Lucht would go 2-5 with a double and drive in two runs, Blain Hanly would go 1-3 with a double and rive in 2 runs, and Ashton Meyer would drive in a couple of Cruiser runs as well.

The Beavers would get their payback in games two and three as the Cruisers would be dealt losses of 15-7 and 8-5.

In the first game of the double-header, Jakob Lucht would go 3-5 at the plate driving in a Cruiser run and Payton Hanly would collect 2 hits and drive in a run.

In the second game, Lucht would pick up another hit and drive in two more runs.

The Cruiser's record now sits at 6-6 overall and 3-3 in league play with 7 games remaining, with 6 of those bing league matchups against league-leading Montesano and last place Hoquiam.

With only one game on tap next week, the Cruisers will host the Mt. Tahoma Thunderbirds on Friday at 4:00 pm.
