Cruisers Win Regular Season Finale, Finish Season Undefeated

The Cruisers went on the road to Hoquiam this past Friday night to take on the Hoquiam Grizzlies in their final regular-season game.


The Cruisers would down the Grizzlies 40-12 at historic Olympic Stadium.


Dylan Norman would open up the scoring for the Cruisers when he took a Kevin Wulff handoff 12 yards for the score to put the Cruisers ahead 6-0.


The Grizzlies would answer back by marching 69 yards on 6 plays with the drive being capped by a 54-yard scoring run to even the score up a 6-6.


On their next possession, the Cruisers would march 61 yards on 6 plays ending with Jake Wood running the ball in from 17 yards out for the score. The Cruisers would now lead 13-6.


Dylan Norman would score again for the Cruisers on a 1-yard run to extend the Cruiser lead to 20-6.


Early in the second quarter, Kevin Wulff would hit Jakob Lucht for a 20-yard touchdown to go up 27-6.


Elijah Stewart would get in on the scoring when he would take a Wulff handoff 2 yards into the end zone to make it 34-6.


With under a minute to play in the first half, junior exchange student Sebastian Molina hit a 17-yard field goal to give the Cruisers a 37-6 lead into halftime.


Molina would convert again late in the third quarter when he connected on a 31-yard field goal to extend the Cruiser lead to 40-6.


The Grizzlies would score one last time in the fourth quarter but it wouldn’t be enough as the Cruisers would win the game 40-12.


With this win, the Cruisers finish 9-0 in regular-season play and wrap up the season undefeated. They now will host the Seton-Catholic Cougars on Thursday, Nov. 4th at 5:30 pm at Art Crat Field at Bethel High School in a winner-to-state/loser out game.
