Hailey Rath would finish her incredible week by going 12-14 at the plate with 7 home runs, 3 doubles, 15 runs scored, and driving in 23 runs.
Head Coach Jen Smith loves what she is seeing out of Rath this season.
“Rath is a beast when it comes to playing ball. Her work ethic is a coach’s dream. Our schedule this year has put three games per week and getting a home-run a game is an extreme rarity but Rath likes to beat the odds. I have never witnessed a player hitting three home runs in a game twice in a week. Witnessing this, I felt like an excited spectator watching the best game ever!”
Berkeley Porter would stay hot by going 12-15 at the plate for the week, driving in 13 runs, and hitting 2 doubles, 2 triples, and a home run.
“Porter has really come into her own this year” Smith would add.
“She has made small adjustments at the beginning of the season which included her pitch selection and hand path to the ball. It has really paid off.”
Up Next: The Lady Cruisers will have a couple of home games this week. They will host the Steilacoom Sentinels on Wednesday and finish the week hosting the White River Hornets on Friday.
