The Lady Cruiser basketball team hosted the Morton-White Pass Timberwolves this past Monday and were handed their fourth loss in a row, 35-32.
The Timberwolves went on an 8-2 run in the 2nd that would extend their lead to 12 points and the Cruisers were never able to recover.
Eatonville's defense would clamp down in the 4th and hold the Timberwolves scoreless for the last 4:11 of the game while they tried to mount a comeback.
Down by 3 with seconds to play, freshman Bailey Andersen's 3 point attempt to tie the game would be long and clank off the backboard and the Cruisers would drop to 0-4 on the season.
Andersen would lead the Cruisers with career highs in points with 16 and rebounds with 15 for the first double-double of her young high school career.
Taylor Limbird would chip in with 8 points of her own.
Sophia Henley was very active on the boards pulling down 10 rebounds.
The Timberwolves were led by McKenzee Mays' 14 points
The Lady Cruisers enjoyed a break for the holiday and regrouped and will host the Toledo Riverhawks on Dec. 29th. Tip-off is at 7:00 pm following the boys' game.
