Eatonville would jump on top in the bottom of the first inning when Rath hit a fly ball deep to center field that cleared the fences to give the Cruisers a 1-0 lead.

They would score three more runs in the second inning via the home run. With Berkeley Porter on base, Sarah Smith homered to right field increasing the Cruiser's lead to 3-0. Kyleigh Backlund would score later in the inning after being pushed home via a bases-loaded walk.

The Bulldogs would claw their way back in the game scoring one run in both the third and fourth innings to bring the game close at 4-2.

Eatonville would score two more runs in the fourth inning and another in the fifth inning and hold the Bulldogs scoreless for the rest of the game to pick up the 7-2 win.

Mary Chabot led the Cruisers in hits with two, while Rath and Sara Smith both drove in two runs.

The Cruisers would then head to Montesano to play the final two games of the series.

Montesano would get the better of them in that game, powered by a nine-running seventh inning to defeat Eatonville 10-5.

Game two would be postponed because of darkness and will be reschedule for later in the season.

The Lady Cruisers' record now sits at 6-1 in league play and 10-3 overall with five league games left to play.

On Tuesday of next week, they will travel to John Gable Park in Hoquiam to play the first two games of a 3-games series with the second place Grizzlies. They will finish off the week hosting the Grizzlies on Friday. This series will be key for the Cruisers. With Hoquiam sitting at 5-1 in the league, a slip-up by Eatonville could drop them into second place.
