The Eatonville Lady Cruisers only saw action once this past week after their April 14 matchup with Steilacoom was canceled due to weather, but they made the most of the opportunity.

Eatonville closed the week by matching its season high in runs with a dominant 22-4 victory over Clover Park on April 16, completing a season sweep after a 16-1 win in the teams’ earlier meeting.

The Timberwolves struck first, taking advantage of an error to push across a run in the opening inning. Eatonville responded immediately. The Lady Cruisers erupted for seven runs in the bottom half, turning a quick deficit into a 7-1 lead. Lilah Chapman delivered the key hit in the inning with a two-run single.

Eatonville broke the game open in the second. The Lady Cruisers scored nine runs on seven hits, highlighted by a series of run-producing at-bats. Aubree Mills drove in three runs in the inning, while Nohea Uhls added a two-run single and Kaitlyn Kenney followed with a two-run triple. Josie Lavergne also contributed an RBI single as Eatonville built a commanding lead.

The offense stayed active in the third inning. Ryleigh Chopic, Lavergne, Mills and Lucy Allen each drove in a run to extend the advantage.

Mills led the way at the plate, finishing with five RBIs on four hits. Chapman matched her with four hits, while Lavergne, Amy Tozier and Kenney each added multiple hits as part of a 16-hit performance.

Eatonville also showed patience, drawing 12 walks. Morgan Laird and Allen each reached base three times via walks. The Lady Cruisers were aggressive on the bases, stealing 16 bags, with several players recording multiple steals.

Lavergne earned the win in the circle, allowing five hits and four runs, two earned, over five innings. She struck out seven and walked four.

Eatonville now turns to a busy stretch with three road games in as many days. The Lady Cruisers open the week April 21 at Franklin Pierce, travel to Fife on April 23, and wrap up the trip April 24 against Washington.
