Tennis

In the recent WIAA District 3 Tennis Tournament, Eatonville's #1 doubles team, Brody Thirtyacre and AJ Lightfoot, secured a commendable 4th-place finish, earning them the title of 2nd alternate to the Spring 2024 State Tournament. Their journey featured a thrilling comeback victory over the CWA team, Iverson and Brink, seeded 4th, in an intense match that went the distance (6-7, 6-2, 6-3). However, they couldn't overcome Klahowya's top-seeded Langguth and Dickey in the second round (1-6, 1-6).


Eatonville's #1 singles player, Carl Lucas, placed 8th, a remarkable achievement for a sophomore making his District Tourney debut. Notably, Eatonville Tennis received the League/District Sportsmanship Award, recognizing the exceptional sportsmanship and respect they demonstrated throughout the tournament. This award reflects their integrity, respect for opponents, and commitment to building connections in the tennis community, showcasing the spirit of sportsmanship in high school tennis.



Cross Country

The Eatonville High School cross country team made a strong showing at the State Championships, with their dedicated runners delivering impressive performances on the grand stage. In the boys' division, Colton Rush showcased his determination, securing a respectable 53rd place with a notable time of 17:40.30. Following closely behind, Joey Mueller demonstrated his strength and endurance, finishing in 74th place with a time of 17:58.00. Their efforts contributed to the team's remarkable presence at the State Championships.


On the girls' side, Grace Coonrod displayed her exceptional talent and commitment to the sport. She secured an outstanding 21st place, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 20:22.40. Grace's remarkable performance highlighted her dedication and skill, making her a standout athlete in the State Championships. Eatonville High School's cross country team can be proud of their runners' achievements at this prestigious event, a testament to their hard work and passion for the sport.
