Triumph on the Mat: Eatonville Wrestlers Shine at 1A Evergreen League Sub-Regionals, Head to Regionals with High Hopes
Eatonville's boys and girls wrestlers showcased their talent at the 1A Evergreen League Sub-Regionals held at Elma and Hoquiam High Schools on February 3rd, with standout performances and commendable team efforts.

In the overall team scoring for the boys, Elma claimed the top spot with 361 points, closely followed by Montesano with 354 points. Eatonville secured the third position with 333 points, Hoquiam amassed 170 points for fourth place, and Tenino rounded out the standings with 77 points.
Eatonville's boys wrestling team displayed resilience and skill, with two wrestlers earning coveted 1st place finishes and an impressive total of 14 wrestlers landing in the top 3 of their respective weight classes. Kasey Whitney at 132 pounds and Trey StaRosa at 150 pounds clinched 1st place victories for Eatonville.
Other notable finishes included Ryder McFadden (120lb), Ethan Taylor (126lb), Jacob Ostendorf (157lb), Jameson Beckord (165lb), Taylor Beer Holland (215lb), and Aaron Tozier (285lb) all secured 2nd place finishes, while Mark Devera (113lb), Justen Koch (120lb), Cody Taylor (138lb), William Evans (144lb), Ethan Rogers (175lb), and Logan Shipman (190lb) all took home 3rd place finishes.
The girls' team was represented by Brooke Ostendorf, who delivered a commendable performance at Hoquiam High School, securing a 2nd place finish in her weight class.
The outstanding showing at the sub-regionals has earned Eatonville a ticket to the regional tournament, where a total of 18 wrestlers, comprising 17 boys and 1 girl, will compete. The boys' regional tournament is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 10th, at Hoquiam High School, while the girls' tournament will take place simultaneously at Centralia High School.
Eatonville's wrestling enthusiasts eagerly anticipate another round of spirited performances as their talented wrestlers strive for success at the regional level.
