Wolves Spoil Boys Season Opener
The Eatonville Cruisers ran into a buzz saw Saturday night in their season opener when they hosted the Timberwolves of Morton-White Pass. The T-Wolves torched the Cruisers 103-61.
The Cruisers kept it close in the opening frame, trailing by 7 as they entered the second quarter, that is when leading scorer Hunter Hazen and crew put their feet on the gas and outscored Eatonville to extend that lead to 16 at the break.

After the half, the T-Wolves didn't let up, putting up 29 points in the 3rd quarter to Eatonville's 18 giving MWP a 27-point lead at 81-54 entering the final frame.
Foul trouble hampered the Cruisers late in the game. Three key players would foul out of the game, allowing MWP to hold Eatonville to only 7 points in the quarter while putting up 22 of their own to come away with a 103-61 victory.
MWP's Hunter Hazen and Jake Cournyer were the thorns in the Cruiser's sides all night finishing with 36 and 31 points respectively.
Walker Bruun led the Cruisers with 12 points in a losing effort.
Next up: The Cruisers will have a 4-day break before lacing them up again and hosting last year's SWW 1A district champs, the Castle Rock Rockets on Thursday, December 15th at 7:00 pm before finishing off the week hosting the Cascade Christian Cougars on Saturday, December 17th at 7:00 pm.
