Stewart Nails Down Athlete Of The Week Accolades

Eatonville Sports News would like to congratulate Eatonville Cruiser Kya Stewart on being named the Eatonville Sports News Winter Sports Athlete of the Week for the week of January 7th – January 13th.

Stewart, a freshman post player on the Eatonville HS Girls Basketball team, had a great couple of games last week for the Cruisers. She scored a double-double in a Cruisers win against River Ridge with 12 points and 10 rebounds. She followed that up a few nights later with 12 more points against Clover Park to help the Cruisers take the victory.

Athlete of the Week winners receive their choice of a shake, cone, or smoothie courtesy of the Cruiser Café​ or $5 worth of frozen yogurt from Malibu Frozen Yogurt.

Weekly winners are also then eligible for the Athlete of the Month award which is a $25 Gift Certificate from either Cruiser Café or Malibu Frozen Yogurt, a hand-made Cruiser themed quilt courtesy of Alyssa Wood, and a Cruiser themed tumbler cup courtesy of Junk Drawer Crafts.
